Over 222 kilos of cork stoppers have been collected by Lagos council since the authority joined Quercus’ ‘Green Cork’ project four years ago.
The cork stoppers have been recycled at the many ‘Rolhinhas’ containers spread out throughout the town.
They can be found at municipal establishments, including the town hall, the library, and Lagos’ four parish councils.
