RENOWNED PORTUGUESE interior designer Teresa Azevedo Coutinho celebrated the opening of her first showroom in the Algarve, near Lagos, with a launch party on Friday.
The new office and showroom follows on from Teresa’s success as an interior designer in Óbidos, near Lisbon, and it became a necessity, due to demand, after various commissions and referrals throughout the Algarve.
Teresa Azevedo Coutinho and her team are now able to offer a one stop shop for interior design needs for homes, holiday homes, commercial properties, resorts and hotels in the region.

Her work has taken her all over the world, with commissions ranging from villas in Portugal to city apartments in London, Lisbon and Dublin and family houses in England, the US and Canada.
“Our ample space in this show room allows us to present larger displays,” said Teresa.
“We have kept our space clutter free and tried to showcase individual rooms and themes to give clients ideas for creating their own interior. I think that sets us apart from our competition.”
Included in the new showroom are a variety of living spaces with custom made furniture and upholstery as well as decorative ornaments, lamps, candles, mirrors and picture frames. Part of the showroom is dedicated to a customer selection suite with a library of resources, samples and swatches along with a children’s area with DVDs and entertainment.
Teresa Azevedo Coutinho’s total project management services includes in house designers, carpenters, builders and architects, offering interior decoration through to space planning and renovation.
