Authorities in Madeira are into their second full day of searches for a French couple, on holiday on the island with their daughter, who went missing on Saturday. A source for the local PSP command admitted search teams “do not have a concrete lead on where the tourists were walking”, although one eye-witness appears to have seen them heading in the direction of Porto Moniz, a municipality close to where they were staying in Fajã da Areia on the northern coast of the island.
