In spite of the government’s sloth in reaching any decision, or even moving forwards with its intention to prepare the sale of flagship airline TAP, the company’s CEO Luís Rodrigues has stressed that large aviation groups are still interested. He has told reporters that only last Friday he spoke to one of these potential buyers, “who assured him they maintain all interest” in TAP. Europe’s big three: Lufthansa, Air France/ KLM and IAG (Ibéria/ British Airways) are the groups said to be in this ‘race’.
