Parliament has been forced to “consider the government’s decree to revise the land law” on January 24 in an initiative of the Left Bloc supported by the PCP, Livre and PAN. Fabian Figueiredo, president of the Left Bloc, has described the decree-law promulgated by President Marcelo just before Christmas as “a catastrophe”, accusing the government of encouraging property speculation, worsening the conditions for combating and preventing the effects of climate change and promoting territorial disorder”.
