EMEL parking authority in Lisbon has opened an inquiry following allegations that three of its agents rounded on a recalcitrant driver, punching him and leaving him with three broken teeth and a broken nose. The story, published in tabloid Correio da Manhã yesterday, has not so far led to any criminal charges. The three men allegedly involved in the attack – reportedly broken up by passers by – remain working for EMEL but in tasks that do not involve contact with the public, the authority has told Lusa news agency
