In a bid to attract people to local shops for their Christmas spending, Loulé council has done away with paid parking between 5pm-7pm.
Until January 6, the municipality’s parking meters will have a digital notice in Portuguese and English explaining that parking is free during those two ‘happy hours’.
The move has been wholeheartedly supported by business association ACRAL.
