Loulé council has signed a €1.4 million deal to renovate the EN124 connecting Barranco do Velho to Monte da Charneca.
The deal was signed on Friday (January 9) and involves improvements across a 29km stretch.
The to-do list includes “repaving, improving sanitation and rainwater drainage systems, renovating sign posts and re-highlighting road-surface markings”.
Work is expected to begin soon and will take up to a maximum of 210 days.
