Loulé Council will be sending around 190 boxes full of books – mostly schoolbooks donated by local schools – to Guinea-Bissau.
The council will also donate books from the local library, which will allow those receiving them to “learn a little about the history and culture of this borough”.
The books will be delivered to Guinea Bissau by the Guinea Bissau Embassy in Lisbon.
