Loulé’s Festival MED, the town’s major summer festival, will return in 2025 from June 26 to June 29, as announced at the recent WOMEX (Worldwide Music Expo) held in Manchester, UK.
The festival’s organisers used their presence at the event to reveal the dates for its 21st edition while engaging with hundreds of global representatives from the music and cultural sectors.
Held from October 23 to 27, WOMEX brought together over 1,000 participants from nearly a hundred countries, creating a platform for showcasing and networking within the world music industry. Festival MED, hosted by the Câmara Municipal de Loulé, was the sole Portuguese event to participate, setting up an eye-catching stand that sparked “considerable interest” from artists, agents, producers, and media eager to learn about its distinctive blend of music, culture, and artistry, Loulé municipal council said in a statement to the press.
