IN THE second division Louletano’s latest 3-1 victory in Silves maintains the central Algarve team’s promotion push. Only Operário is currently disputing the place at the top of the table that guarantees access to the Liga de Honra. As for Silves, a trip straight back down into the third division is the most likely outcome of this season’s adventure. Imortal de Albufeira look to have done enough to remain in this class.
At district level Algarve United are far from living up to early season expectations. Relegation back to the second tier looks very much on the cards.
