Madeira’s minority government struggles to remain ‘in power’

The Regional Government of Madeira is meeting today with CHEGA, Iniciativa Liberal (IL) and PAN in an attempt to agree on proposals for the executive’s new programme – which PS Socialists and JPP (Juntos Pelo Povo) have already said they will be rejecting. Paulo Cafôfo, leader of the archipelago’s second most-voted party (PS) has stressed: “We don’t have confidence in the government, we don’t have confidence in Miguel Albuquerque and that’s why we’re sticking to our position.”
