Madeleine Fund Theft – Woman Remanded
A 33 year old woman charged with theft, has been remanded in custody at Cannock Magistrates Court in the UK.
The woman, named as Debbie Clifton, has been accused of deception following her attempts to collect money door to door; Clifton allegedly told house-holders she was raising funds to help find Madeleine McCann.
Madeleine was abducted from her holiday home in Praia da Luz, Algarve on 3 May (40 days ago) and no confirmed sighting of the four year old has been registered since then.
Gerry and Kate McCann, Madeleine’s parents, are due to return to the Algarve later today (Tuesday) where they will be spending some private time, reflecting on the search for Madeleine.
