A major police swoop on drug-dealing activity in central areas of the Algarve has led to the arrest of six suspects and the confiscation of over 9,000 doses of heroin and 117 of cocaine.
In a recent press release, the regional GNR described how the operation was powered by eight search warrants on houses and vehicles in the areas of Tunes, Almancil, Loulé and São Brás de Alportel.
After finding the drugs, police arrested four men and two women between the ages of 25 and 58 suspected of directly providing narcotics in the areas of São Brás, Faro, Loulé, Albufeira and Silves.
During the busts, authorities also seized various weapons, electronic equipment, cash, among other valuables.
The six suspects will now be heard in Faro court.
