Man killed in Lagoa

A man was killed as he stood in the middle of the EN125 road in Lagoa at around 4.30am recently. According to the driver, when he saw a man sitting by the road, he flashed him to warm him to move. But instead of moving, the victim leapt in front of the vehicle, making it impossible for the driver to avoid him. When the GNR and the Lagoa bombeiros arrived at the location, they couldn’t identify the victim because he had no documents and nothing to suggest where he came from, but officers believe he was an immigrant.
