PJ police in Portimão have arrested a 52-year-old man wanted for child sex abuse crimes committed in Russia.
According to the police force, the businessman of Italian-Russian origin was detained in Armação de Pêra, Silves, as a result of an international arrest warrant issued by Russian authorities and Interpol.
The man was due to appear before a judge at Évora’s court of appeals to be extradited.
