President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will be in Estonia next week, on an official state visit from Tuesday to Thursday, on the invitation of Estonian president Alar Karis. The programme in the Baltic country that borders Russia will be divided between the capital, Tallinn, and the second largest city, Tartu. According to a note on the president’s official site, a business meeting to Estonia will be taking place at the same time. “This visit will be an opportunity to continue strengthening ties between Portugal and Estonia, in their most diverse dimensions, both bilaterally and multilaterally, as partners in the European Union and allies in NATO”, the note concludes.
