The National Maritime Authority (AMN) has issued a weather warning for coastal areas in mainland Portugal starting tomorrow (February 22) at noon and running until Saturday at 6pm due to strong winds and rough seas.
With waves potentially reaching heights of 13 metres and winds blowing at an average speed of 65km/hour and gusts of up to 120km/hour, the maritime authority is recommending that fishing and recreational boats make their way back to shore and take precautionary measures.
Citizens are also being advised to avoid coastal areas during this time.
