Jennifer and John decide to have a puppy while contemplating the idea of having a baby. Marley, their adorable Labrador, becomes more than a handful as he is kicked out of obedience school and quickly turns his new home into a disaster area. As Marley sees the family through its ups and downs, the couple ultimately realise that despite being the world’s worst dog, he is one of the most loved members of their family.
