A WOMAN was jailed for six months in Singapore last week for conning a man out of 45,000 US dollars to marry her.
She was already married. She met him in an online chatroom and after some time, she agreed to marry him. She asked him to send her money for her mother’s funeral and a friend’s wedding, which he agreed to, but became suspicious when she began to ask for more. When she was arrested, her husband had allegedly no idea what she had been up to.
