The parents of missing Madeleine McCann have finally settled the €7,500 defamation bill they totted up unsuccessfully trying to sue former PJ coordinator Gonçalo Amaral for his book: “Maddie: The Truth of the Lie”. It is understood the couple used money from the Madeleine Fund, created to “secure the safe return” of their daughter, who went missing without trace from an unsupervised holiday apartment in the Algarve in 2007.
