The case of the mass drowning of university students on Meco beach just before Christmas last year has now been reopened by a judge in Setúbal, with the only survivor, João Gouveia – the young man all bereaved parents want to quiz – at last officially named as a suspect. Breaking the news on Wednesday, Diário de Notícias reports that four new witnesses are to be heard, with discussions scheduled for November 20.
