Unnamed man to be extradited on back of European Arrest Warrant
Portugal’s PJ police have arrested an Italian man, described as a member of the Camorra on the run from authorities in his own country for more than 20 years.
The arrest was made in the northern region – and the man, so far unnamed, is now being held in preventive custody while extradition procedures take place.
According to reports, a European Arrest Warrant was out in his name.
The man was condemned to 15 years jail for drug trafficking in Italy, but has eluded authorities ever since.
The Camorra is the Naples version of the mafia. ND
