The revamp will safeguard the original architecture

A €1.2 million revamp of São Bartolomeu de Messines’ municipal market is due to begin this April and is expected to last eight months, Silves Council has announced.

A temporary market will open at the former Intermarché supermarket building near the main market.

Despite the many improvements planned, the council says the revamp will safeguard the building’s original architecture.
