Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Céu Antunes, has not had an easy ride with farmers nationally, but she has been honoured with the rank of Commander of the Order of Agricultural Merit today, in France. The award was presented for her “tenacity and leadership” in bringing the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to a conclusion. French counterpart, Marc Fesneau, suggested Ms do Céu managed what “few believed was possible. We’re counting on you for the next CAP reform”, he added.
