“SOFTLY, SOFTLY catchy monkey”, when applied to the business world, where an aggressive approach is expected to produce results and speed is everything, does not bring promotion to the faint hearted nor does it please company shareholders.

In a similar manner through mass rallies and televangelism, a North American phenomenon, Christianity seems to be another branch of the same tree in the hands of charismatic Revivalist leaders.
While large profits are made, some of the money generated is being used for the propagation of The Faith. There is also a spin-off of spontaneous conversions. One wonders if those born again in the euphoria of the moment are taken under the wing of responsible Christians.
To be manipulated and swept off one’s feet in a crowd is only the beginning of a long walk with God. It is the honeymoon start of a journey beset by temptation and through dark places that is better travelled in the company of fellow seekers after truth. Read alone or in conjunction with study groups led by a priest, the Holy Bible not only spells out the building bricks of Christian faith but in it, Christ offers the gifts of sins forgiven and the promise of eternal life if only we believe in him.
This is where modern thinking goes head to head with the need to accept that Christ, carrying the sins of the world, gave himself to be crucified according to his father’s will and that he was resurrected on the third day and sits at God’s right hand to judge the living and the dead.
