Modern Music Festival returns to Praia da Luz this week

LagosMMFest’24 brings pop, rock, funk, soul and jazz to the seaside town between August 15 to 18.

Praia da Luz will be the epicentre of modern music this week with the Lagos MMFEST’24. The festival, which returns for its third edition, promises to shake up the region between August 15 and 18.

This annual event, based in the picturesque village of Luz, offers a platform for emerging bands of the moment, celebrating musical diversity in a stunning seaside setting.

Spectators will be immersed in a variety of musical genres, from pop to rock, funk, soul, and jazz.

Featuring a variety of local and national artists, the festival hosted by Orquestra Ligeira de Lagos will include performances by Svetlana Bakushina, Orquestra Ligeira de Lagos, Maximiliano Llanos Quintet, Marta Lima, BILOBA, LANA GASPARØTTI, and Plasticine.

The organisation promises an electrifying atmosphere “where music becomes the link that unites people of all ages and backgrounds”.

Performances kick off at 19h00, coinciding with the sunset, blending music and nature in a distinctive setting.

Admission is free.
