Água Monchique’s 86 employees received a bonus at the end of last year in recognition of their efforts.

«In recognition for the effort and commitment of its 86 employees in a particularly challenging year», Sociedade da Água de Monchique (SAM) distributed a bonus at the end of 2023, representing an investment of more than €100 000.

This initiative is part of the company’s social sustainability policy, in which employees and their well-being are a priority.

«We know each of our employee’s home situations. We know the impact that the increased cost of living has had on the family budget. We recognize everyone’s enormous dedication towards the company in 2023, and we are rewarding it», says Vítor Hugo Gonçalves, CEO of Sociedade da Água de Monchique.

This additional support comes in addition to a range of other benefits, including, for example, the payment of 16 salaries per year or the provision of health insurance.

The company also points out that in 2020, during the pandemic, it increased all salaries by 10 per cent.
