IN AN effort to protect guests, the owner of a motel in Mexico has installed steel doors on the rooms.
Kidnappings and shootings have escalated in recent months, as rival drug gangs continue to battle for territory and smuggling routes to the US. More than 70 people have been killed this year in drug related violence in the area.
