Mother of Portuguese referee Luís Godinho dies in ravine fall in Azores

Fátima Godinho, 62 – mother of football referee Luís Godinho – died yesterday after ‘losing her balance’ when taking photographs on the edge of a ravine in Ilha de São Miguel, in the Azores. According to all reports, Ms Godinho fell 20 metres in the area known as Ribeira dos Caldeirões, a very popular spot for tourists with stunning waterfalls.
