Robert Murat, the only person considered as a formal suspect in the case of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, was questioned for several hours again on Tuesday July 10.
Mr Murat, 33, a Briton, has always maintained his innocence in any connection with Madeleine’s disapearance from the holiday apartment in Praia da Luz where she was sleeping with her two siblings whilst her parents had dinner at a local restaurant.
At the time of Madeleine’s disappearance Robert Murat was staying with his mother, a long-time expatriate resident of the Algarve.
The questioning session on Tuesday was the third for Mr Murat since Thursday May 3, the day on which Madeleine was last seen.
When Robert Murat left the police station he made no comment.
Chief Inspector Olegario de Sousa said “Obviously, we will be listening to all people connected to the case throughout the week.”
However, there was no confirmation from the Chief Inspector that there were any new lines of enquiry or that they were any closer to tracing the whereabouts of Madeleine.
