Museum admission prices to rise next January

The Museums and Monuments of Portugal (MMP) will increase entrance fees at most of the facilities it manages from January 2025, according to an order published today in the Diário da República state gazette.

Most normal tickets will increase by between €2 and €7 compared to the current price list.

The biggest increases – of €7 – will be seen in some of the country’s most visited museums, such as the Torre de Belém, the Museu Nacional dos Coches (including entrance to the Picadeiro Real), the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia and the Palácios Nacionais da Ajuda and Mafra, from €8 to €15, while at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, the price will rise from €12 to €18, an increase of €6.
