Sunday, March 8 is International Women’s Day and to celebrate the occasion a new self-help book on natural remedies for women will be presented at Lagos Municipal Library and later in the borough’s Pólo de Literatura in the former primary school of Barão de São João.
The day includes an afternoon sale in Barão of handicrafts and remedies all made by women. Everyone is welcome, and anyone who misses the event will be able to find the book a week later at a special presentation at Vila do Bispo library (4pm).
Written by environmental chemist Sandra Loureiro, it promises to be a book every woman will want to keep at hand.
