Aljezur Municipal Council has approved the donation of nearly €73,000 to the Humanitarian Association of the Volunteer Firefighters of Aljezur for the purchase of a new ambulance.
The Medical Emergency Post of the local firefighting force was set up nearly four decades ago and works 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, always manned by two to three properly trained firefighters, the local council says.
