New festival created to stimulate Tavira’s cultural offer in winter

Offering music, poetry, markets, street food, children’s workshops, sports and environmental sustainability, the “Winter Sun” Festival will take place on January 27, February 24 and March 16.

The municipality of Tavira, Clube de Tavira and Parish Council of Tavira have joined forces to create a new festival “to stimulate cultural and artistic offerings during the winter and enhance outdoor activities”.

The Sol de Inverno (Winter Sun) Festival will take place on January 27, February 24 and March 16, between 11h00and 18h00, on the city’s Largo José Joaquim Jara (Jardim do Sapal).

Held on Saturdays, the festival will feature music, poetry, markets, street food, children’s workshops, sports and environmental sustainability.

The initiative’s programming counts on the collaboration of several local associations and the support of the Empresa Municipal Taviraverde, Navia Digital and Tipografia Tavirense.
