Lisbon’s Armando Martins Museum of Contemporary Art (MACAM) – initially scheduled to open in 2021 – is now due to open during the first half of next year. “This is an unprecedented initiative which, for the first time in Portugal and Europe, incorporates a 5-star hotel into the space of a museum,” reads the museum’s official website. The ‘totally private cultural project’, located in the Palácio dos Condes da Ribeira Grande is “dedicated to modern and contemporary art”.
