Next generation at Moveison

“WE ARE really excited and busting to get going,” says Chris Winstanley and his wife Melanie of the purchase of Moveison Outdoor Living Store.

Moveison has been trading for 10 years at its showroom in Chinicato, near Lagos, under the ownership of Chris’s mum and dad, Andre and Susan Winstanley.

“We started selling outdoor furniture from our home and it has been fantastic seeing the business grow from strength to strength on our site near Lagos, which consists of five large show areas,” says Andre.

Despite the doom and gloom of the credit crunch, Moveison continues to develop with many new products and ranges planned for 2009.

“Chris and I want to develop a retail business which is a one stop shop for people who love to treat the outdoors as the most important room in their home, offering the same fantastic service offered by Andre and Sue,” says Melanie.

Unique products

Andre will continue to be involved in the background, helping in the work to grow and develop the company, something which Chris is really pleased about.

“Mel and I are Algarve virgins and look forward to Andre helping us meet all his contacts and long standing clients,” says Chris.

Moveison looks forward to developing improved choice and value for its personal clients as well as assisting corporate clients to find solutions for developments, hotels and restaurants’ outdoor needs. They have negotiated Portugal distribution rights for some unique outdoor living products and look forward to launching these very soon.

“2008 has not been the best. I know very few businesses in the Algarve that have had a bumper year. However, with our exciting new ranges of furniture and gift accessories, we expect 2009 to be better,” added Chris.
