On August 30 and 31, gaming fans will enjoy an immersive Nintendo experience with Super Mario characters, sports video games and live entertainment.

Travelling across Portugal for the first time, Nintendo’s Summer Tour is coming to the Algarve. On August 30 and 31, the gaming tour is setting up shop on Portimão’s riverside, inviting visitors to try video games such as «Super Mario Bros Wonder», «Mario Kart 8 Deluxe», «Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD”, “Princess Peach: Showtime!” and “Nintendo Switch Sports” for free.

The Nintendo Switch Tour focuses on families and fans of this genre, with Mario and his companions Luigi, Peach, Toad, Daisy, and Yoshi taking centre stage. For nearly 40 years, these characters have been cherished as global symbols of wholesome fun that transcends generations.

In the Nintendo tents, participants will be able to, among other fun proposals, accompany Princess Peach on her mission to save the Sparkle Theatre, help the fearful Luigi recover the fragments of the Black Moon, or choose their favourite character from the Mario universe.

As for sports, six games will be available on “Nintendo Switch Sports”: tennis, volleyball, badminton, football, fencing, and bowling.

When saying goodbye to this playful universe, visitors of any age can take a souvenir photo at Mario’s iconic Warp Pipe, which will also travel to Portimão.

Live entertainment will also be provided on the event stage by Portuguese influencer and YouTuber Rubén Remédios, better known as Mr. Remedy.

The Nintendo Switch Tour is free of charge and open to the public in Portimão from 18h00 to 00h00.
