The popular tourist town of Ferragudo is soon to be left with no banks.
Banif, the only bank to still run a branch in the town, has let the local parish council know it will be closing up shop in the coming weeks.
The move has been slammed by the parish president, who is concerned about the town’s image as tourists will arrive to find no banks at all and only two ATM machines.
Luís Alberto is now expected to present his concerns to Parliament.
