North joins Galicia in joint tourism promotion in US, Canada and Brazil

The Galicia-Northern Portugal tourism cluster will promote itself in countries such as the United States, Canada and Brazil, backed by European funding totalling €690,000.

The announcement was made in Barcelos, Braga district, by the head of the Porto and Northern Portugal Tourism Board, Luís Pedro Martins, during an international congress on the Caminhos de Santiago pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela.

For Luís Pedro Martins, head of the Porto and Northern Portugal Tourism Board, the north of Portugal and Galicia will gain scale if they present themselves together.

“Two countries, two regions, one destination, we’re sure to gain a different capacity for scale,” he emphasised.
