Nuno Borges pulled off an amazing upset by beating the world’s 24th best ranked tennis player, Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, in two sets (7-6 and 6-3) in the second round of the Estoril Open today to advance to the quarter-finals.
The Portuguese player (62nd) will face Chilean player Cristian Garin (112nd) tomorrow as he continues his run to the final of the tournament, hoping to become the second home player to win it after João Sousa in 2018.
