The new clubhouse and golf course underwent renovations, reflecting the new management’s “ambition to set a new standard in luxury golf experiences”.
The Old Course Vilamoura has just announced the reopening of its clubhouse, which underwent a transformative renovation that coincides with the launch of its new brand identity.
Known as the “Grande Dame”, the Old Course has undergone several improvements since the resort started being managed by DETAILS, the property management company owned by Arrow Global Portugal.
The new clubhouse, which features significant improvements such as a golf shop, lounge, restaurant, bar, and terrace, reinforces the golf course’s status and makes Vilamoura one of the main destinations in Europe for golf.
Nuno Sepúlveda, Co-CEO of DETAILS, explains that “the reopening of the Old Course Clubhouse and our new brand identity represents our ambition to set a new standard in luxury golf experiences. This milestone is a testament to our commitment to sustainability, sophistication and exceptional service.”
The clubhouse and restaurant, open to the public, including golfers, visitors, and locals, now resemble a gastropub. Inspired by British pubs, the restaurant pays homage to legendary course architect Frank Pennink and serves a menu of traditional British staples and Portuguese culinary specialities.
The course renovations, which complement the clubhouse transformation, are also worth highlighting. Sustainable improvements have been implemented, including water-resistant grass varieties and modernised irrigation systems, ensuring the Old Course remains an environmentally responsible golf landmark.
“The Old Course’s new visual identity reflects its legacy of prestige and exclusivity”, says the management. “The new cursive monogram logo conveys elegance, refinement, and exclusivity, while the purple and gold palette symbolises sophistication and opulence. Together, these elements create a timeless and memorable identity that celebrates the course’s history and status”.
DETAILS continues to significantly expand its portfolio, strengthening assets under management in the hospitality, sports and leisure sectors. Recent highlights include The Els Club Vilamoura and the Equestrian Centre, which exemplify its commitment to innovation and excellence.
