Several civil society figures and associations have shown today that the outrage expressed following the police operation in Martim Moniz on December 19 is still simmering in spite of the time that has passed. They have delivered a complaint to the Ombudsman to investigate the legitimacy and proportionality of the police operation on Rua do Benformoso, in Lisbon, in which several immigrants were searched. The more than 600 signatories to the complaint insist that the matter “is not forgotten at the speed of the next media scoop”.
