Orca ‘attacks’ damage further sailing boats off Portuguese coast

At least four sailing boats have suffered damages in the last few days as a result of orca ‘attacks’ that are increasingly becoming a new danger for those who spend their lives on the sea. Social media groups for sailors have been buzzing over the latest reports, which involve two ‘attacks’ off the coast of Lagos, another close to Cabo da Roca, and one last Saturday off the coast of Lourinhã. Due to the scope of the incidents, it seems likely these interactions (as many scientists studying the phenomenon like to call them) involve more than one group of orcas.
