The summer ‘pop-up’ Natura Garden Café operated by Fine Dining in Style at the Natura Garden Centre in Almancil now offers people another reason to visit: a weekly farmers’ market stall selling the best quality organic fruit and vegetables from the Algarve.
The stall is open every Tuesday from 11am to 3pm and is run by A Horta da Granja, the Portimão-based specialists who grow all their own produce in the region. So, Garden Café visitors can now call in to browse, fill their shopping baskets and stay for lunch. The market stocks year-round favourites complemented by summer delights such as strawberries, figs and cherries.
And as A Horta da Granja is also Fine Dining in Style’s main fruit and vegetable supplier, diners get the chance to sample what they are buying in a range of chef’s specials including Mediterranean bruschetta with tomato, onion, garlic and
oregano, Algarvian orange salad with iceberg lettuce, celery and fennel, and carob and almond tart.
The Garden Café – located in a shady spot at the heart of the Natura Garden Centre on Estrada de Vale do Lobo in Escanxinas – operates until October and is open Monday to Friday between 11am and 5pm.
Outside of normal opening times, it can also be booked for private events. For reservations, call 914 020 391 or email events@finedininginstyle.eu
