It’s not enough that schools up and down the country are constantly beset by strikes, now it transpires that more than 36% of school menus analysed in 2022 included fish high in a mercury compound that scientific data suggests poses a “relevant chemical risk” to health. This appears to be because municipalities opt for hake, tuna and salmon (all fish known to be health no-no’s), reports Lusa. DGS health authority advice is now in overdrive.
