The parliamentary inquiry into the ‘favoritism row’ (centering on the €4 million worth of health treatment of Luso-Brazilian twins) has been suspended until September 9 while right wing party CHEGA is complaining of what it sees as a boycott (or at very least, an attempt to delay proceedings) by both the parliamentary speaker and the PSD. CHEGA’s leader André Ventura was referring to the speaker’s indecision of whether or not to allow access by the inquiry to the personal correspondence between President Marcelo and his son, Nuno – and to the PSD’s bid to suspend any requests by individuals for access to records and/ or copies of communications while this matter remains undecided.
