Outgoing prime minister António Costa has instructed PSP police to provide personal security to party leaders with parliamentary seats if they want it, following the attack on PSD leader Luís Montenegro by a climate activist this morning. A source from the head of government’s office told Lusa that António Costa has already spoken to Luís Montenegro and told him of his decision. Mr Montenegro meantime has said he is formalising an official complaint against his attacker.
