Portugal’s PCP communist party leader Paulo Raimundo has shown he is looking at international affairs with the comment today that “if anyone is seeking solutions for peace (in Ukraine) it is the Chinese government”. It’s not an interpretation that many would share, but the PCP has stuck to an alternative line throughout the Ukraine conflict, calling on all sides for ‘peace’. Paulo Raimundo’s comment today comes as Chinese president Xi Jin Ping pays an official two day visit to Moscow.
