Pet Corner – All in the name of love

Streetwise and in the forefront of APAA, is Jenny Clarke, President. Amongst her many pots of jams, preserves and other tasty condiments are the ideas for making money.

“Interestingly, ‘Totes’ are so popular with all ages.” The Association for Protection of Animals Algarve has enlisted the help of professional photographer Carlos Filipe. Known for his wonderful portraits of animals. “People send in photographs of their dog or cat and the winners, chosen by Carlos, will be printed on our new APAA tote-bags.” If you would like your pets to be considered, please send your photographs to Jackie.apaaportugal@gmail.com.

To help reduce the production costs for the bags, each entry will cost €5 and you can send as many entries as you wish. Payment can be made by the following: Bank transfer (IBAN PT50 0045 7130 4000 7746 5293 6); Multibanco (NIB 0045 7130 40007746529 36); PayPal: apaadonations@gmail.com; or cash (with your name clearly on the envelope) at one of our shops or events. Please state which method of payment you have used when sending your photographs. Photos and your details must be sent and payment made by Sunday 15 September.

‘Dog & Cat Totes’ will be available at ‘Pop-Up’ Shops and events, such as afpop’s BLiP. “We will initially have at least 25 bags produced, but then will certainly order more once these have been sold.” Got it!

Jenny along with her chief ‘Pop-Up’-Shop persona Anita, are busy getting the seasonal ball rolling. Sharpen pencils!
